Purpose of Test: The purpose of the test is to evaluate the ability of a chair armrest to withstand stresses caused by applying vertical forces or outward forces or repetitive loading on the armrest(s) Loading capacity: 1.Test No.13 Arm Strength Test- Vertical - Static a) Functional Load: apply a force of 890N(2001bf) for one (1) minute. b) Proof Load: apply a force of 1334N(3001bf) for one (1) minute. 2.Test No.14 Arm Strength Test - Horizontal - Static a) Functional Load: apply a force of 445N(1001bf) for one (1) minute in the outward direction. b) Proof Load: apply a force of 667N(1501bf) for one (1) minute in the outward direction. 3. Test No.20 Arm Durability Test - Cyclic Simultaneously apply a force of 400N(901bf) to each armrest at a 10°±1°angle. Test cycles:60,000 at a proper rate 10∽30cycles per minute.
